As a screenwriter I've collaborated with next-level artists in reality TV and indie film.
At Citizen Jones Productions, I worked on series for the FYI Network.
STYLE UNZIPPED
an FYI Series
This show explored the surprising histories of iconic fashion items through short animations and expert interviews.
As Show Writer and Lead Editor, I worked closely with producers to ensure each episode captured their tone and vision for the series.
Here's a sample segment from Ep. 104: “The Pea Coat"...
SEGMENT LOGLINE
In this segment, we dive into the pea coat's voyage from the high seas to the small screen and learn how its buttoned-up design helped the pea coat weather over 200 years as an outerwear classic!
"THE PEA COAT"

NARRATOR (V.O.):
As far as outer-garments go, there are few as true-blue as the pea coat.
But before it made a splash as the sturdy and stylish icon it is today, the pea coat first made waves at sea.
Its design was a perfect fit for sailors: a short length and center back vent made for smooth sailing when it came to shimmying up ropes.
The original pea coat was navy blue and had buttons decked out with fouled anchors -- a feature that has...stuck around.
But it wasn’t until the 1900s that this maritime mainstay became a fashion fixture for landlubbers.
Over the years, the pea coat has anchored the styles of pop-culture icons from James Dean to John Lennon...but one of its more boat-rocking moments was in 1970, when Mary Tyler Moore sported one during her famous hat toss in the opening sequence of her eponymous sitcom.
From downtown to down-the-runway, the pea coat is a garment that remains true-blue.
DELIVERANCE
an award-winning short
To return to filmmaking post-lockdown, I wrote a micro-budget short.
It was shot over 2 days with a small, massively talented crew.
It even played some festivals.
Collaborating on it was a blast (and cathartic even).
DELIVERANCE
A pizza who's lost hope in humanity, tries to talk itself out of being delivered. But its delivery driver refuses to accept its bleak worldview.

dream job
a micro short (with cinematic aspirations)
Here's a super-rough cut of a more recent experiment (summer '24).
Working with the same director/editor of Deliverance, Trevor Worley, our goal was to create zero-budget content with a cinematic feel.
Trevor shot the footage in an hour.
I wrote the monologue in about as much time.
Even sky dancers have dreams.
MARTIAN AMERICAN
an Emmy-winning Short
For my thesis at the American Film Institute,
I cowrote a sci-fi/comedy short that took home a few awards,
including an Emmy.
